Cloudberry syrup Black peppercorn Lemon Vodka
GLASSWARE tall or collins glass
GARNISH peppercorn and blackberry skewer
Muddle 4 blackberries in ½ oz lemon juice and ½ oz Cloudberry syrup in your shaker. Add 1½ oz vodka and a pinch of black peppercorns. Shake vigorously and strain over fresh ice in a tall glass. Top with club soda and garnish with peppercorns and blackberries.
For extra credit, use this recipe to infuse your vodka with black peppercorn and blackberry ahead of time: Combine 3 tsp black peppercorns, 2 cups blackberries sliced, and 2 oz simple syrup in a 1 liter glass jar or bottle and pour over the vodka. Seal tightly and store in a cool dark place, such as a pantry, for 3 days until the color has deepened. Gently shake the jar or bottle occasionally to help infuse. After 3 days, strain the vodka through a fine mesh sieve into a large jug and discard the fruit and peppercorns. Strain it again through a fine mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth or a coffee filter. Transfer to a bottle you can seal tightly.
